To manage and grow strategic key accounts by driving revenue, ensuring smooth order execution, and building long-term partnerships with high-value customers in the solar industry.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop key accounts such as EPC companies, large distributors, government contractors, and institutional clients.
Act as the single point of contact for assigned key customers for all sales and coordination activities.
Understand customer requirements, project timelines, and procurement plans to maximize sales opportunities.
Handle the complete sales cycle including enquiry management, quotation preparation, negotiation, and order finalization.
Work closely with internal teams (production, planning, quality, logistics, and accounts) to ensure timely order execution.
Ensure accurate communication of delivery schedules, specifications, and commercial terms to customers.
Monitor order progress, dispatch status, and resolve any execution or supply-related issues proactively.
Coordinate with the accounts team for invoicing, credit terms, and timely payment collections.
Ensure healthy receivables and adherence to approved credit limits for key accounts.
Prepare sales forecasts and account-wise revenue plans aligned with company targets.
Track and update all key account activities in CRM/MIS systems.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics within key accounts.
Support government and large private tenders by providing pricing strategy and commercial inputs.
Conduct regular review meetings with key customers to strengthen relationships and ensure repeat business.
Represent the company in client meetings, project discussions, exhibitions, and industry events.
Share periodic performance reports, account insights, and growth opportunities with senior management.
Skills & Competencies
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Good understanding of solar modules, EPC projects, and B2B sales cycles.
Ability to manage multiple high-value accounts simultaneously.
Proficiency in CRM, Excel, and MIS reporting.
Result-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in B2B sales or key account management (solar/renewable industry preferred).
