: Sales Manager

Reports To: Sales Head

1. Role Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving day-to-day sales activities, managing leads, converting prospects, supporting the Sales Head in achieving targets, and ensuring strong coordination with operations teams for client onboarding.

This is a mid-level role focused on execution, client acquisition, follow-ups, field visits, tastings, and proposal support.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Lead Management & Follow-ups

Manage all inbound and outbound leads provided by telecalling, marketing, and CRM.

Conduct structured follow-ups until closure.

Maintain a robust pipeline with accurate lead status updates.

B. Client Meetings & Field Sales

Meet clients (HR/Admin/Procurement) for requirement gathering and presentations.

Arrange and participate in kitchen visits, food tastings, and site inspections.

Present Hogist's services, menus, pricing, and capabilities to prospective clients.

C. Proposal Preparation & Negotiation

Coordinate with Sales Head for proposal drafting and pricing strategy.

Share proposals, menu options, service plans, and commercial quotations.

Negotiate rates, T&Cs, service timelines, and onboarding requirements.

D. Coordination with Operations Team

Ensure operational feasibility checks before client commitments.

Coordinate with vendors and operations for tastings and kitchen readiness.

Support smooth client onboarding after deal closure.

E. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain CRM updates, daily activity reports, and weekly performance trackers.

Prepare client requirement summaries, meeting notes, and follow-up action plans.

Ensure accurate documentation for contract signing and onboarding SOPs.

F. Customer Relationship Building

Build and maintain professional relationships with potential and existing clients.

Handle basic issues or questions from clients before escalating to the Sales Head.

Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities (tea/snacks, events, extra meals).

3. Required Experience & Skills

Experience

3-8 years in B2B sales, preferably in F&B, catering, corporate meals, hospitality, facility management, or FMCG institutional sales.

Experience handling corporate clients, HR/Admin heads, or procurement teams.

Field sales experience is mandatory.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good negotiation and presentation capabilities.

Ability to understand client needs and match them with Hogist solutions.

CRM usage, pipeline tracking, and structured reporting.

Ability to coordinate between sales and operations effectively.

4. Personality Traits

Energetic, confident, and persuasive.

Strong follow-up discipline.

Result-oriented with a hunter mindset.

Well-presented and professional in client interactions.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cluster environment.

5. KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Monthly lead-to-meeting conversion.

Meeting-to-proposal conversion.

Proposal-to-closure conversion.

Revenue contribution from new clients.

Client onboarding readiness and feedback.

Daily/weekly discipline in reporting.

6. Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.

MBA is an advantage, not mandatory.

7. Compensation

Competitive salary + incentives based on closures.

Travel allowances for client visits and cluster travel.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
