Job Description

sales manager leads the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets by developing strategies, managing staff, overseeing inventory, and analyzing market data. Key responsibilities include hiring and training salespeople, setting performance goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, coordinating with marketing for promotions, and managing budgets and reports to drive the dealership's revenue and profitability. Key Responsibilities

Sales Team Management:

Hire, train, motivate, and supervise salespeople to achieve sales targets. Conduct regular meetings and coaching sessions to improve sales performance and strategies. Monitor individual salesperson performance and provide guidance for closing deals.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and implement sales strategies, budgets, and promotions to meet and exceed sales goals. Analyze market trends and sales data to identify opportunities and understand customer needs. Coordinate with marketing and manufacturers to ensure competitive pricing and successful promotions.

Customer & Inventory Management:

Foster strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Oversee and manage vehicle inventory to maintain a profitable mix for turnover. Establish efficient delivery procedures and ensure high customer service standards throughout the process.

Financial & Administrative Duties:

Forecast sales and track performance against goals, preparing regular sales reports for management. Control expenditures to adhere to budgetary requirements. Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to manage and retain leads and customers.

Operational Oversight:

Ensure sales staff understands and follows dealership policies and procedures. Act as a liaison between the sales department and other dealership departments. Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle sales.
