Job Title:

Sales Manager - Furniture Department



Job location:

Salem & Hyderabad



Job Purpose:

To oversee the sales operations of the furniture department, manage the sales team, ensure excellent customer service, achieve sales targets, and maintain strong product knowledge to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, train, and motivate the furniture sales team to achieve individual and departmental sales targets. Develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and campaigns to drive footfall and conversions. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of furniture products, trends, pricing, and competitors. Ensure attractive product displays, proper stock levels, and showroom presentation. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing personalized service and addressing complaints effectively. Monitor sales performance, prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports, and present to management. Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams for stock planning and replenishment. Guide customers in furniture selection, customization, and after-sales support. Ensure compliance with company policies, customer service standards, and operational procedures. Analyze market trends and suggest improvements in product range and pricing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). 4-6 years of proven experience in retail furniture sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Excellent negotiation and customer service abilities. Good knowledge of furniture design, materials, and industry trends. Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets. Proficiency in MS Office and retail POS systems.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets. Customer satisfaction ratings. Staff performance and retention. Stock turnover ratio. Showroom standards and product presentation.
