We are seeking a results-driven and inspiring Sales Manager to oversee a cluster of our retail stores and drive their commercial success.

Job Summary:


The Sales Manager (Cluster Manager) is responsible for the overall sales performance, profitability, and operational excellence of a designated group of retail stores. Acting as a crucial link between the General Manager and individual Store Managers, you will provide strategic direction, hands-on guidance, and performance oversight to ensure all stores in your cluster meet and exceed their targets. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of multi-store retail dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Sales & Revenue Growth:



Take full ownership of the sales and profitability targets for all stores within the assigned cluster. Develop and implement cluster-wide sales strategies, promotions, and marketing initiatives to drive footfall and increase average transaction value. Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. Conduct regular performance reviews with Store Managers to track progress against KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as sales, wastage, and customer satisfaction.

2. Store Operations & Excellence:



Ensure all stores adhere to company standards for visual merchandising, product quality, freshness, and overall store hygiene. Conduct frequent store visits to audit operations, provide on-the-spot coaching, and ensure a consistent brand experience for customers. Work with Store Managers to optimize inventory levels, manage stock rotation effectively, and minimize product wastage. Serve as an escalation point for operational challenges and customer issues that cannot be resolved at the store level.

3. Team Leadership & Performance Management:



Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Store Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. Assist Store Managers in managing their teams, providing guidance on staffing, scheduling, and training. Identify high-potential employees and work with HR to create development plans and succession pipelines. Drive a customer-centric mindset across all stores, ensuring the highest levels of service are consistently delivered.

4. Strategic Support & Reporting:



Act as a key strategic assistant to the General Manager, providing insights and feedback from the ground level. Compile and present regular reports on the cluster's performance, including sales analysis, operational challenges, and strategic recommendations. Facilitate clear and effective communication between head office functions (HR, Marketing, Procurement) and the store teams.

Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in retail sales management, with a proven track record as an Area Manager, Cluster Manager, or Multi-Store Manager.

Experience in the FMCG, grocery, supermarket, or fresh produce sector is highly advantageous.

Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated expertise in driving sales, managing P&L, and controlling costs. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Willingness to travel extensively between stores within the assigned cluster. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Compensation:



Salary:

Up to ₹40,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
