About the Role
The
Sales Manager
will be responsible for
selling postgraduate medical courses
designed for
MBBS students and interns preparing for MD entrance examinations in India and USMLE exams for medical practice in the United States.
This role requires an individual who not only has sales expertise but also an
understanding of the career trajectory of medical students
-- from medical school, through postgraduate entrance exams in India, to international opportunities such as the USMLE and medical residency in the US.
The candidate should be able to connect effectively with
medical students, interns, and young doctors
, guiding them toward the right learning programs and ensuring successful enrollments.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Generation
Drive sales of
postgraduate medical courses for MBBS students and interns
, focused on
MD entrance (India) and USMLE prep (USA).
Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Engage with prospective students and institutions through calls, virtual meetings, demos, and webinars.
Client Acquisition & Retention
Identify, connect, and convert MBBS students, interns, and medical colleges into long-term clients.
Build strong relationships with educational institutions, corporate hospitals, and student communities.
Provide career-oriented counseling to prospective students about postgraduate medical pathways.
Ensure excellent after-sales support for student satisfaction and referrals.
Business Development
Explore and expand market reach in both
domestic (India)
and
international (US and other countries)
medical education markets.
Stay updated on trends in
medical entrance exams, USMLE patterns, and postgraduate medical education.
Promote bundled offerings across online courses, editorial content, and international conferences.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with marketing and academic teams to design effective promotional strategies.
Collaborate with faculty and course development teams to align sales messaging with program content.
Mentor junior sales executives (if any) to enhance performance and team results.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of leads, student interactions, and conversions using CRM tools.
Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and performance updates for management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Master's Degree/Post-Graduate in
Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related discipline.
2-4 years of proven sales experience
in EdTech, publishing, or educational services (experience in medical/health education sales is highly desirable).
Strong understanding of
medical student pathways
: MBBS, MD entrance exams (India), and
USMLE for postgraduate medical careers in the US.
Excellent
communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to explain complex medical career pathways to students and parents.
Proficiency in
CRM tools, MS Office, and digital communication platforms.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure.
Flexibility to engage with students across time zones.
