Job Summary:
The Sales Manager - Pneumatics Division will be responsible for driving industrial sales of pneumatic components, systems, and automation solutions across target industries. The role demands a deep understanding of customer needs, strong technical acumen, and proven sales capabilities to generate business from Steel Plants, Power Plants, Cement Industries, Aluminium Smelters, Food Processing, Packaging, and Beverage industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industrial Sales & Business Development:
Identify and grow sales opportunities in core industries:
Steel Plants
Power Plants
Cement Industries
Aluminium Smelters
Food Processing
Packaging & Beverages
Promote pneumatic solutions such as solenoid valves, cylinders, FRLs, fittings, and automation assemblies tailored to industrial applications.
Generate inquiries through plant visits, technical discussions, and relationship building with key personnel at customer sites.
2. Sales Strategy & Market Penetration:
Develop region-wise industry-specific sales strategies.
Monitor competitor activity and propose strategic initiatives to increase market share.
Set and achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets.
3. Technical & Commercial Support:
Offer application-based product recommendations and custom solutions.
Prepare and submit quotations, technical offers, and project proposals.
Support customers through product trials, installation advice, and troubleshooting in coordination with the service team.
4. Customer Engagement & Retention:
Build long-term relationships with plant managers, purchase heads, maintenance engineers, and OEM partners.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent follow-up and service support.
5. Team Collaboration (if applicable):
Guide and monitor performance of junior sales engineers or channel partners.
Train team members on product range, applications, and sales strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree
in Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering (preferred). MBA is a plus.
5-10 years
of experience in Industrial Sales, specifically in Pneumatics, Vacuum, or Compressed Air Equipment.
Familiarity with brands like

Familiarity with procurement and engineering practices in heavy industries and process plants.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in CRM tools, Excel, and reporting systems.
Willingness to travel extensively to industrial sites and client locations.
