Role Summary
As a Sales Manager, you will lead the sales function within your designated region, driving revenue growth through effective management of sales teams, distributor networks, and retail channels. Your leadership will ensure the achievement of sales targets and the execution of strategic plans aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional revenue and volume targets
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales officers and field executives to maximize productivity
Manage relationships with distributors and key retail partners to expand market reach
Monitor primary and secondary sales performance and take corrective actions as necessary
Plan and oversee sales operations including route planning, beat coverage, and territory management
Drive trade promotions, product launches, and visibility campaigns for maximum impact
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to inform decision-making
Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Candidate Profile
3-5 years of proven experience in FMCG sales with a strong background in team leadership
Demonstrated success in managing distribution channels and achieving sales targets
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships across multiple stakeholders
Proficient in sales reporting tools and data analysis
Willingness to travel extensively within the territory
