Job Title: Sales Manager - Fruit Marketing
Job Summary:
The Sales Manager - Fruit Marketing is responsible for driving sales and market expansion of fresh fruits through wholesale markets, retail chains, distributors, and institutional buyers. The role focuses on demand generation, price realization, channel management, and ensuring timely movement of produce while maintaining quality standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Development
Develop and execute sales strategies for fresh fruits to achieve volume and revenue targets.
Identify and develop new markets, buyers, and distribution channels.
Manage daily sales operations including pricing, negotiations, and order finalization.
Monitor market trends, seasonal demand, and competitor pricing.
Channel & Customer Management
Manage relationships with wholesalers, distributors, retailers, modern trade, and institutional customers.
Expand dealer and buyer network across assigned territories.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure high satisfaction levels.
Ensure timely order execution and coordination with logistics and cold storage teams.
Pricing & Demand Planning
Analyze daily market prices and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to align supply with demand.
Optimize price realization while minimizing wastage and spoilage.
Team & Field Operations
Lead and supervise sales executives and field staff.
Plan daily market visits and sales routes.
Review team performance and provide training on market practices and product handling.
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and MIS.
Track collections and outstanding payments.
Coordinate with procurement, quality, logistics, and finance teams.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of fresh fruit markets,FMCG,and supply chain
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage perishable products
Market intelligence and pricing analysis skills
Willingness to travel extensively
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Marketing, or related field
MBA in Marketing / Agribusiness preferred
Minimum 15years of experience in fruit marketing, fresh produce, or FMCG (fresh category)
Preferred Experience:
Fresh fruits (domestic & export markets)
Wholesale markets, modern retail, institutional sales
Cold chain and logistics coordination
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?45,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
