About the Role
As a Sales Manager at IIDE, you will manage and lead a team of sales counselors to ensure achievement of enrollment and revenue targets for our courses across India. You will be responsible for day-to-day team management, executing sales strategies, monitoring key sales metrics, and ensuring high team productivity. This role involves close collaboration with marketing to effectively convert leads and contribute to business growth through operational excellence and team coaching.
What You'll Do
Sales Target Achievement & Revenue Delivery
Achieve individual and team sales targets aligned with business plans.
Manage lead conversion rates and maintain hygiene in the sales funnel.
Drive new customer acquisition through direct sales and telesales efforts.
Monitor lead aging and ensure timely follow-up by the team.
Sales Strategy Execution & Sales Process Improvement
Execute sales plans and campaigns as designed by the sales leadership.
Support cross-selling and upselling initiatives within the team.
Provide feedback on market trends and student needs to assist product and marketing teams.
Assist in improving CRM usage and adherence among team members.
Team Management & Training
Manage and motivate a team of 10-30 sales counselors.
Conduct regular training sessions on calls, sales pitches, objection handling, and lead management.
Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets for team members and monitor progress.
Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new sales personnel.
Reporting & Quality Assurance
Track and report on team performance metrics including revenue per salesperson and conversion rates.
Conduct regular call audits and quality checks to maintain sales standards.
Ensure proper lead allocation and utilization through CRM audits.
Additional Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with marketing to align on lead generation and campaign effectiveness.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in sales processes and team productivity.
Perform other duties as assigned by sales leadership.
Requirements
Who You Are
Must-Have
8-10 years of experience in sales, preferably in EdTech or related sectors.
Proven experience managing a sales team of 10 or more members.
Strong sales orientation with deep understanding of conversion metrics and pipeline management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Proficient in MS Office and CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, LeadSquared, etc.).
Skilled in objection handling and negotiation.
Should Have
Experience supporting sales strategy implementation and incentive planning.
Ability to analyze data and prepare meaningful team performance reports.
Familiarity with CRM processes and sales automation tools.
Nice to Have
Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with marketing and product teams.
Experience with international sales markets or teams.
Certifications or training in sales leadership or CRM optimization.
