The Sales Manager - MTO will be responsible for managing and growing sales through modern trade channels such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and national/regional retail chains. The role involves driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, executing trade promotions, and ensuring strong distribution and visibility of products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies for Modern Trade channels to achieve monthly and annual targets.
Manage key accounts including national and regional modern trade chains.
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, margins, schemes, and contracts with retail partners.
Ensure effective product placement, visibility, and availability across stores.
Plan and implement promotions, in-store activities, and new product launches.
Monitor sales performance, secondary sales, stock levels, and inventory rotation.
Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams for smooth operations.
Analyse market trends, competition activities, and consumer insights to drive growth.
Lead, guide, and motivate sales executives and merchandisers assigned to MTO.
Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any related field.
MBA (Sales/Marketing) preferred.
Experience
5-8 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 3-5 years in Modern Trade Operations.
Strong exposure to handling large retail chains and key accounts.
