We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager - Modern Trade to drive our growth in the organized retail sector. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing national and regional modern trade accounts, preferably in the consumer goods or lifestyle product segments. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with key retail partners, ensuring visibility and availability of our products, and driving sales performance across modern trade channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute modern trade strategies to expand market share across national and regional chains like Reliance Retail, Lulu, Dmart, Metro, etc.
Negotiate terms of trade, pricing, promotional calendars, and visibility contracts with retail partners.
Ensure consistent product availability, planograms, and visibility at store level through effective coordination.
Analyze sales data, generate insights, and drive data-backed decision-making to improve performance.
Manage collections, reconciliation, and claims handling from key accounts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations.
Handle periodic reviews with category managers and oversee field sales execution via brand staff.
Support import coordination, logistics planning, and operational activities as required.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
