Job Description

As a Sales Manager - Precision Farming, you will lead the integration and execution of precision agriculture technologies and practices across farming operations. Your primary responsibilities will include managing key stakeholder relationships, overseeing the successful implementation of precision ag tools, and ensuring data-driven decisions improve yield, efficiency, and sustainability. This role requires a unique blend of agronomic expertise, technological proficiency, and strategic project leadership.

Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management:



Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding precision farming initiatives.

Understand the business objectives of farm owners, agronomists, and technical partners to tailor technology solutions accordingly.

Build and maintain strong relationships with equipment providers, software vendors, and agri-tech partners.

Translate stakeholder feedback into actionable strategies and improvement plans.

Project Leadership and Coordination

:

Lead end-to-end implementation of precision farming projects from planning to full-scale execution.

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including agronomists, data analysts, technicians, and field staff to meet timelines and operational goals.

Monitor project performance, budget adherence, and field outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed.

Deliver consistent updates and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Technical Expertise and Solution Deployment:



Oversee the deployment and integration of GPS-guided machinery, VRT (Variable Rate Technology), drones, remote sensors, and decision support systems.

Collaborate with IT and agronomy teams to convert data inputs into actionable field insights.

Ensure technology applications are scalable, interoperable, and aligned with current and future operational goals.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate software platforms for data collection, mapping, and analysis.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:



Stay current on precision agriculture trends, innovations, and regulatory changes.

Identify opportunities to optimize operations, reduce inputs, and improve crop productivity through precision tools.

Promote a culture of innovation by piloting emerging technologies and evaluating ROI and agronomic value.

Lead workshops or internal trials to test and adopt new agri-tech solutions.

Team Collaboration and Development:

Foster a team-oriented culture by encouraging collaboration and open communication across departments.

Mentor and coach field staff and junior agronomists in the application of precision tools and technologies.

Support ongoing training and development for teams to maintain technical excellence and adaptability.

Champion operational best practices in field data collection, equipment calibration, and system usage.

Documentation and Process Adherence:



Ensure thorough documentation of precision farming processes, trials, technical specifications, and field results.

Standardize procedures for equipment setup, calibration, and data handling.

Promote adherence to compliance, safety, and quality assurance protocols throughout precision ag operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
