Key Responsibilities:
Direct Sales Channel:
Acquire new customers through cold calling, referrals, digital outreach, and walk-ins.
Promote and sell Life, Health, and General Insurance policies based on customer needs.
Conduct financial needs analysis and recommend suitable insurance plans.
Maintain customer lifecycle management and ensure renewals, cross-selling, and upselling.
Meet individual sales targets and contribute to branch productivity.
Agency Channel:
Recruit and onboard qualified insurance agents/advisors.
Train and mentor agents to enhance their productivity and compliance.
Drive agents to achieve individual and team business targets.
Monitor agent activity, provide performance feedback, and support career development.
Conduct periodic performance reviews and training sessions.
General Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting, claims, and operations.
Prepare and share sales reports, pipeline updates, and market feedback with leadership.
Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and company compliance standards.
Keep up to date with competitor offerings and market trends.
Required Skills:
Sales & Target Orientation: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in insurance.
Team Leadership: Ability to recruit, train, and manage advisors or sales teams effectively.
Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of Life, Health, and General Insurance products.
Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build lasting customer and agent relationships.
Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication to engage clients and lead teams.
Negotiation & Persuasion: Skilled at closing deals and handling objections.
Problem Solving: Capable of managing objections, customer issues, and operational challenges.
Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of IRDAI regulations and insurance sales best practices.
Time Management: Strong organizational and planning abilities.
Tech Savvy: Basic proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office, and digital sales platforms.
Candidate Requirements:
Graduate (Any Stream); MBA/PGDM preferred.
2 to 5 years of relevant sales experience in insurance (Life, Health, or General).
