We are looking for a
Sales Manager
to lead our
Kanhangad branch
, drive team performance, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for automobiles, and a proven record of achieving retail sales targets in a competitive environment.
Position Overview
The
Sales Manager
will be responsible for achieving monthly and annual sales targets, managing the dealership's sales operations at Kanhangad, and ensuring excellence in customer engagement and process compliance as per
Mahindra's dealership standards
.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate the team, manage leads effectively, and ensure consistent growth across personal and commercial vehicle segments.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Performance
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual retail and wholesale targets for all Mahindra models --
3XO, Thar, Scorpio N, XUV700, Bolero, Bolero Neo, Veero, Supro, and Pickup series
.
Drive enquiry generation through digital, walk-in, and on-ground sources.
Monitor lead conversion and pipeline management through
Mahindra's DMS/CRM system
.
Plan and execute local-level marketing activities, test drive events, and promotional campaigns.
Ensure proper stock management and coordination with the Head Office for allocation and delivery.
2. Team Management
Lead and guide the sales consultants, TLs, and back-office staff to achieve collective goals.
Conduct daily team briefings and performance reviews.
Identify training needs and coordinate skill development programs through Mahindra Learning Modules.
Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and enthusiasm among the sales team.
3. Customer Experience & Relationship Building
Ensure every customer receives a
premium showroom and delivery experience
in line with Mahindra's
Customer Delight (CD) and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
standards.
Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of customer concerns.
Build strong relationships with individual, fleet, and corporate customers to drive repeat and referral business.
Promote accessories, insurance renewals, and extended warranty to enhance dealership profitability.
4. Process & Compliance
Ensure adherence to
Mahindra's Sales Process Audit (SPA)
and dealership operational standards.
Monitor DMS data accuracy, documentation, and timely reporting.
Coordinate with finance, exchange, and accessories teams for seamless delivery operations.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the GM & CEO on performance, leads, and market updates.
5. Market Development
Stay updated on competitor activities, pricing, and local market trends.
Drive business development initiatives in potential catchment areas.
Build relationships with local institutions, taxi operators, and commercial segments for bulk sales.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
7-12 years of experience
in automobile sales, with at least
3 years in a managerial or team leader role
(Mahindra experience preferred).
Proven track record in achieving and exceeding retail targets.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency in DMS/CRM tools, MS Excel, and digital sales platforms.
Fluency in
English and Malayalam
is mandatory.
