The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales planning, key account management, and business development across corporate, MICE, leisure, and travel trade segments. With 15 years of experience, the role demands strong market knowledge, leadership, and relationship management skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Generation
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve room, banquet, and F&B revenue targets.
Drive corporate, MICE, wedding, and long-stay business.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the hotel's market presence.
Ensure optimal rate positioning and yield management in coordination with Revenue Management.
Key Account & Client Management
Manage and grow relationships with key corporate accounts, travel agents, OTAs, and event planners.
Negotiate contracts, corporate rate agreements, and annual business deals.
Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business.
Market Analysis & Strategy
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns.
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
Recommend pricing, promotions, and packages based on market intelligence.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and provide training.
Coordinate closely with Front Office, Revenue, F&B, Banquets, and Marketing teams.
Brand Representation & Networking
Represent the hotel at trade fairs, exhibitions, sales calls, and networking events.
Maintain strong relationships with tourism boards, corporate houses, and local business communities.
Uphold brand standards and ensure consistent brand positioning.
Administration & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Ensure accurate documentation of contracts, proposals, and client records.
Adhere to hotel policies, SOPs, and compliance standards

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in hotel sales
Proven track record in achieving and exceeding revenue targets
Experience with branded hotels (Marriott, Fern, Taj, Accor, etc.) preferred
Strong knowledge of local and national hospitality markets
