The Cluster Manager - Loans is responsible for driving loan sales, managing branch/area teams, ensuring compliance, and delivering profitability across multiple locations within the assigned cluster. The role involves business development for both
Secured (Home Loan, LAP, Auto Loan)
and
Unsecured (Personal Loan, Credit Card, Business Loan)
products, along with strong people management and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Sales
Achieve monthly/quarterly loan disbursal and revenue targets for the cluster.
Drive cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for secured and unsecured loan products.
Build strong market presence through tie-ups with DSAs, connectors, and channel partners.
Analyze portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and ensure healthy loan book quality.
2. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and monitor Branch Managers, Relationship Managers, and Executives.
Conduct regular reviews of loan pipeline, lead conversion, and disbursal progress.
Drive productivity enhancement initiatives for sales staff.
Ensure regular training for team members on products, compliance, and sales skills.
3. Operations & Compliance
Ensure all loan applications are processed within TAT and adhere to credit policy.
Monitor documentation, KYC compliance, and audit readiness for each branch.
Implement strong fraud control measures and minimize NPAs.
Work closely with Credit & Risk teams for approvals and policy alignment.
4. Customer Experience
Ensure timely resolution of customer queries and escalations within the cluster.
Build customer trust through transparent communication and service excellence.
Monitor post-disbursal services (account servicing, repayment tracking, etc.).
5. Financial & Administrative Control
Ensure profitability of the cluster by balancing growth with portfolio quality.
Control operational expenses and optimize resource allocation.
Present monthly MIS reports on sales, disbursal, collection, and delinquency.
6. Collections & Portfolio Management
Track overdue accounts and ensure proactive follow-up by the collection team.
Work with recovery/legal team on delinquent cases.
Maintain PAR (Portfolio at Risk) and NPA levels as per company guidelines.

Qualifications
Education:
Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA/Finance preferred).
Experience:
3-6 years in Loan Sales/Branch Banking/NBFC with at least 3-4 years in a leadership role handling multiple branches.
Industry Preference:
Banks, NBFCs, Fintech Lending, or similar loan-focused organizations.
