We are hiring an experienced and performance-driven
Sales Manager
for a reputed insurance company. The role involves leading a sales team, driving insurance business growth, expanding market presence, and achieving assigned revenue targets. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership capabilities, in-depth understanding of insurance sales, and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
Drive sales of insurance products (Life/Health/General as applicable) in the assigned territory
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase market penetration
Build strong relationships with customers, agents, channel partners, and corporate clients
Team Management & Leadership
Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives/advisors
Set performance goals and monitor individual and team productivity
Conduct regular team meetings, reviews, and performance evaluations
Provide on-ground support, coaching, and motivation to the sales team
Customer Relationship Management
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
Handle key clients and support team members in closing large or complex deals
Address customer concerns, escalations, and post-sales support requirements
Strategy & Reporting
Plan and execute sales campaigns and promotional activities
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior
Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports to management
Ensure compliance with company policies, IRDA guidelines, and internal processes
Eligibility CriteriaEducation
Graduate from any discipline
(Post-graduation is an added advantage)
Experience
Minimum
1.5 years of experience
in insurance sales or a relevant sales role
Prior experience in team handling or channel management is preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
Target-oriented with strong business acumen
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good knowledge of the local market in Jagdalpur/Chhattisgarh is a plus
