As a Hydraulic Cylinder Sales Engineer in India, you will focus on driving sales of hydraulic cylinders by identifying new business opportunities, providing application engineering & technical support to clients, and building strong customer relationships. You will typically work by offering tailored Hydraulic Cylinders selection and Solutions for industries like: Integrated Steel Pants, Steel Rolling Mills, Cold Rolling Equipment Design and turnkey project companies, Sponge Iron, Aluminium/Other Primary Metals Equipment Producers, Furnace Manufacturers, Hydraulic Presses, Power Plant Design & Execution Firms/Consultants, Coal & Mining Sectors Equipment, Construction, Agricultural & Mobile Equipment Manufacturers and Segments, Rig Manufacturers, Machine Tools & Defence Equipment/ Systems, Space and Satellite Launch Equipment, Marine & Ship Equipment, Oil & Natural Gas Sectors, other Infrastructure and Heavy Engineering Applications.
Your Key Responsibilities as sales manager or Head of Sales will be to take full responsibility for:
Sales & Business Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in various new applications/sectors and also from those outlined in the description above. You will equally focus & redevelop and bring back all old key customer accounts both in the Private sector & the Government Public Sectors, winning back their Confidence, Trust & Loyalty through targeted sales & after sales service campaigns and measured deliverables with a focus on meeting commercial objectives & absolute "Profitability" to the Cylinder Division.
Client Relationship Management:
Conduct client visits - singularly and with Cross Functional Team Members from other relevant departments within the Company, understand customer's needs, and provide valued technical support, also collect inputs to re-engineer the cylinder products for providing better value to clients and organise product presentations.
Technical Expertise:
Offer technical solutions, prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and coordinate with internal teams for installation, commissioning, and after-sales support.
Commercial Expertise:
Maximise Commercial Gain to the Hydraulic Division by identifying and obtaining best profitable gains based on sectors, applications, value addition and not by under-pricing and booking orders for the division to fulfil targets at low valuations and commercial losses or benefitting customers. High negotiation skills and acute tactful monitoring of competition and the customer's commercials and market intelligence are the need to add to your cylinder divisions bottom line is a must.
Sales Target Achievement:
Meet or exceed assigned budgeted sales targets along with on time payment collections and maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports.
Market Knowledge:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands in the hydraulic cylinder sector.
Skills Required:
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, valves, and other related components.
Sales & Negotiation Skills:
Ability to identify leads, build relationships, present technical information, and negotiate deals.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
Effective communication with clients, technical teams, and management.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze customer requirements and offer tailored solutions.
Business Acumen:
Understanding of market dynamics, competitor landscape, and sales strategies

Experience
: 10 to 15 years in Hydraulic Cylinders and Components Sales.
Typically requires you to have a Diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Post Graduation or Specific Marketing Degrees are an added advantage.
5 - 12 years of experience in core techno - commercial sales & application engineering within the hydraulic cylinder industry.
Salary/Emoluments:
Typically, CTC per annum can Range between Rs. 10 - 20+ Lacs in a Fixed & Variable Pay format under an Incentive Scheme based on achieving Sales, Market Share & Payment Collection Targets. Higher emoluments are also negotiable for the deserving under a time bound performance contract.
