The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building long-term customer relationships for the bakery. This role oversees the full sales cycle--including prospecting, account management, contract negotiation, and sales strategy development--to ensure consistent sales performance and strong brand representation.
Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue and growth targets.
Identify new business opportunities in retail, wholesale, food service, and corporate sectors.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitors, and industry trends.
Customer Acquisition & Account Management
Generate new leads and secure new accounts (restaurants, cafes, hotels, grocery stores, catering companies, corporate clients, etc.).
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
Schedule regular visits to client locations to review product performance and introduce new items.
Product Promotion & Branding
Collaborate with production and marketing teams to promote seasonal and specialty products.
Provide product knowledge and sampling to potential clients.
Ensure bakery brand standards are upheld in all customer interactions.
Operational Coordination
Work closely with production to forecast demand and ensure timely fulfillment.
Communicate customer feedback to improve product offerings and service quality.
Monitor inventory availability and advise on product prioritization.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports on revenue, customer activity, and opportunities.
Track KPIs, analyze sales metrics, and adjust strategies as needed.
Manage pricing, proposals, and contract negotiations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales, preferably in food & beverage or bakery/pastry industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
Knowledge of bakery products and food-safety fundamentals is a plus.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Valid driver's license (if the role requires client visits).
