ob Title: Business Manager - Sales



Location: HSR Layout, Bangalore (On-site)



Experience: Minimum 5 years in B2C/B2B Sales with proven leadership experience



Industry: EdTech / Startup



Working Days: 6 days a week (Weekends mandatory; Weekday off)



Salary: upto 18,00,000 lakhs + Incentive



We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Business Manager - Sales to lead and scale our revenue-generating teams in a fast-paced EdTech environment. This role demands a sharp business acumen, deep understanding of sales processes and experience managing large teams across telesales or field sales operations. You will play a pivotal role in planning, execution and optimization of the entire sales lifecycle while ensuring revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

a. Own and drive revenue targets for your business vertical/region.

b. Lead, mentor and scale a sales team of 15-30 members, including team leads and sales executives.

c. Set daily, weekly and monthly goals for the team and track performance through KPIs.

d. Strategize and implement improvements to the sales funnel to increase conversions and reduce drop-offs.

e. Ensure a customer-first approach in all aspects of the sales process, driving long-term customer value.

f. Collaborate closely with marketing, product and operations to align efforts and optimize the lead-to-sale journey.

g. Take ownership of hiring, onboarding and upskilling sales talent.

h. Use data-driven insights and dashboards to monitor performance, forecast revenue and identify growth opportunities.

i. Conduct regular business reviews with leadership and provide performance updates.

Requirements :

a. Minimum 5 years of total experience in sales with at least 2 years in a leadership or business management role.

b. Proven track record in B2C/B2B sales, preferably in EdTech, Fintech or Consumer Tech domains.

c. Strong people management skills with experience handling mid-to-large teams.

d. Hands-on with CRM tools like Salesforce, Leadsquared, Zoho or similar platforms.

e. Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.

f. Ability to work under pressure in a target-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

a. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field. MBA is a plus.

b. Prior experience in scaling sales teams in a startup or high-growth environment.

c. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, high-speed setup.

d. Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages (Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, etc.) is a bonus.
