Role Overview:



The Distribution Head will lead and strengthen Buckaroo's PAN-India

distribution

and modern trade network. The role demands strategic planning, team leadership, and a solid understanding of retail & B2B footwear sales. The candidate will ensure smooth flow of goods from factory to warehouse to distributors, optimize secondary sales, and support brand visibility and growth in traditional as well as

modern trade channels.



Key Responsibilities:



1. Distribution Network Development & Expansion



Identify and appoint new distributors, dealers, and sub-distributors across regions. Strategically plan coverage in untapped markets and develop state-wise expansion roadmaps. Define and monitor distributor commercial terms, margins, and credit policies in line with company guidelines.

2. Sales Planning & Target Achievement



Plan and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across all zones. Work closely with ASMs/TSIs to drive secondary sales, order booking, and billing efficiency. Track sales performance SKU-wise, region-wise, and category-wise through structured reporting.

3. Modern Trade & Key Account Management



Build and maintain relationships with modern trade partners, e.g. multi-brand outlets, large format stores, and lifestyle chains. Coordinate with modern trade buyers for listings, planogram updates, and order execution. Negotiate visibility, promotions, and trade marketing activities to enhance sell-through in key modern trade locations. Ensure timely billing, dispatches, and replenishment to modern trade partners.

4. Inventory & Logistics Coordination



Liaise with the Logistics and Warehouse teams for seamless supply chain execution. Maintain balanced stock levels at distributor and modern trade points to avoid stock-outs or overstocking. Monitor claims, returns, and damaged goods in coordination with relevant departments.

5. Distributor & Trade Relationship Management



Conduct quarterly business reviews with distributors to evaluate performance and ROI. Ensure adherence to credit terms, claims settlement, and trade policy compliance. Build long-term, trust-based relationships with partners to drive loyalty and consistency.

6. Market Intelligence & Business Insights



Regularly track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends in both distribution and modern trade. Gather feedback on product performance, pricing, and design trends to support future collection planning. Share data-driven insights for business forecasting and strategic planning.

7. Team Leadership & Reporting



Lead and guide the sales and distribution team (ASMs, TSIs, Merchandisers). Conduct regular reviews, set clear KRAs/KPIs, and ensure on-ground visibility. Develop a result-oriented culture through training, mentoring, and structured reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies:



In-depth knowledge of

footwear retail, distribution, and modern trade operations

. Proven ability to build and scale regional distribution networks. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Analytical mindset with expertise in sales reporting and forecasting. Exposure to trade marketing and retail activations will be an advantage.

Educational & Experience Requirements:



Graduate / MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management. Minimum

8-12 years of experience

in

footwear distribution (General Trade Sales) and Modern Trade Sales

. Hands-on experience managing distributor networks and key modern trade accounts.

Performance KPIs (Linked to KRAs):



Distributor coverage & new territory onboarding. Achievement of sales and collection targets. Growth in secondary sales and modern trade revenue share. Distributor ROI and relationship retention. Team productivity and adherence to company processes.

Monday to Saturday: 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM | 2nd & 4th Saturday off
