We are looking for an experienced and results-driven
Sales Manager
to lead our sales efforts in the
alcoholic beverage sector
, specifically focusing on beer, liquor, and spirits. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the alcohol market and will be responsible for driving revenue, developing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and leading a high-performing sales team.
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the local alcohol market.
Identify key target markets, customer segments, and promotional opportunities.
Track and analyze sales performance to continuously optimize strategies.
Forecast future sales based on historical data, market trends, and team performance.
2. Sales Target Management
Set clear and achievable targets for the sales team aligned with overall company goals.
Delegate responsibilities effectively across team members based on strengths and business priorities.
3. Client & Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, including hotel chains, bars, pubs, and lounges.
Negotiate and finalize contracts ensuring win-win outcomes.
Resolve customer concerns efficiently to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
4. Market Analysis & Reporting
Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify trends, threats, and new opportunities.
Prepare and present periodic sales reports, customer insights, and market feedback to the Head Office.
Understand and utilize customer demographic data to tailor sales strategies.
5. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to ensure high morale and peak performance.
Set the standard by leading field visits, closing key deals, and mentoring the team.
Promote a results-oriented culture within the team.
6. Brand Promotion & Visibility
Promote all company brands across various touchpoints to enhance brand visibility.
Conduct visits and activations at institutional venues like 5-star hotels, premium bars, lounges, and restaurants.
Coordinate with the marketing team to drive brand campaigns at the ground level.
7. Communication & Reporting
Maintain regular communication and reporting to the Head Office.
Provide updates on sales progress, market dynamics, and team performance.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in the
alcohol/beverage industry
, preferably in a managerial or territory-level sales role.
Industry Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of the alcohol market, regulatory environment, product trends, and distribution channels.
Strong leadership and people management abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in sales reporting tools and CRM software.
Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable strategies.
Preferred Candidate Background:
Candidates
exclusively from the alcohol, beer, or liquor industry
will be considered.
Experience working with major HORECA (Hotel/Restaurant/Cafe) chains and institutional clients.
Strong network in the Kolkata and Eastern India market is a plus.
