The Sales Incharge is responsible for managing daily showroom operations, supervising the sales team, achieving sales targets, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of store presentation. This role requires strong product knowledge in gold, diamond, and precious stone jewellery, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Customer Service
Greet and assist customers with product selection.
Explain product details such as purity, weight, pricing, certification, and making charges.
Resolve customer queries and enhance customer satisfaction.
Upsell and cross-sell jewellery items to meet sales targets.
2. Showroom Management
Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and well-displayed.
Manage stock display, lighting, and security arrangements.
Monitor daily cash handling and billing accuracy.
3. Team Supervision
Lead, guide, and motivate the sales team.
Allocate daily responsibilities to staff.
Conduct training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
Monitor staff performance and discipline.
4. Inventory & Stock Control
Maintain stock records and update inventory in the system.
Coordinate with the storekeeper for stock replenishment.
Check opening and closing stock, daily inward/outward entries, and stock movement for promotions.
5. Sales Reporting
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.
Track individual and team performance.
Communicate customer feedback and market trends to management.
6. Compliance & Security
Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
Monitor jewellery handling protocols and showroom security measures.
Report discrepancies or losses immediately.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline
2-5 years of experience in jewellery retail or similar industry.
Strong knowledge of gold, diamond, and gemstone quality standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead a team and meet sales targets.
Basic computer skills (POS/Billing software).
