Role Overview
UniSouk is seeking a strategic Head of Sales to build and lead our go-to-market
strategy. This role requires establishing the sales organisation from inception,
developing sales processes, and driving revenue growth through B2B and B2C
channels. You will be instrumental in positioning UniSouk as a leading e-commerce
platform.
Key Responsibilities
Build and establish the sales function from the ground up, defining processes
and best practices
Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for new product launches
Identify and cultivate relationships with key B2B clients, merchants, and
partners
Create and execute sales playbooks for direct sales, channel partnerships,
and enterprise deals
Set aggressive yet achievable sales targets and KPIs, monitoring progress
against goals
Lead negotiations for high-value contracts and strategic partnerships
Establish metrics for sales pipeline management, conversion rates, and
customer acquisition cost
Oversee customer relationship management (CRM) system implementation
and optimisation
Build a talented sales team aligned with the organisational growth stage
Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure a seamless
customer experience
Represent UniSouk at industry events, trade shows, and networking
opportunities
Develop retention and upselling strategies for the existing customer base
Required Qualifications
12+ years of sales experience, with a minimum of 5+ years in leadership roles
Proven track record of building sales organisations from scratch
Demonstrated success in B2B and/or B2C sales in technology or e-commerce
sectors
Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, merchant acquisition, and
customer retention
Excellent negotiation and closing skills with the ability to handle complex
deals
Experience with CRM systems, sales analytics, and data-driven decision
making
Strong presentation and communication abilities
Track record of exceeding revenue targets by significant margins
Experience scaling sales teams from 5 to 50+ members
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Indian e-commerce or SaaS startups
Experience in supply chain, logistics, or B2B marketplace platforms
Knowledge of retail technology and omnichannel sales strategies
Previous experience in a high-growth startup (50-500 person scale)
Familiarity with fundraising and investor communications
