Job Summary:
The
Sales Executive - NVOCC Division
will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer accounts, and driving revenue growth in ocean freight services (FCL/LCL). The role demands a proactive, relationship-oriented professional with a strong understanding of the NVOCC industry and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate new business leads and expand the customer base for NVOCC and ocean freight services.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as assigned by management.
Identify potential clients, understand their logistics needs, and offer tailored service solutions.
Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHAs, and logistics partners.
Negotiate competitive rates and service contracts with customers and vendors.
Coordinate with the operations and documentation teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
Stay updated on freight rates, market trends, and competitor activities.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports and market feedback to management.
Participate in customer meetings, networking events, and trade fairs to enhance business visibility.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
NVOCC operations, container shipping, and export/import procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Goal-oriented and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Proficiency in
MS Office
and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably in
Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Business
).
2-4 years of relevant sales experience
in NVOCC, Freight Forwarding, or Shipping Line.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and client acquisition.
Candidates with an existing customer portfolio in ocean freight will be preferred.
