Ramesh Traders is a prominent supplier of premium dry fruits, spices, and grocery provisions to a variety of customers, ranging from retailers to food service businesses. With a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, we are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales growth, expand our market share, and build long-term business relationships.
Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent market knowledge and a proven track record in business development within the FMCG and grocery sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Planning:
Develop and execute business development strategies to drive sales growth in the dry fruits, spices, and grocery segments.
Identify and analyze new market opportunities and trends.
Work closely with the sales team to create sales forecasts, goals, and plans to achieve targets.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Building:
Build and nurture relationships with key clients, distributors, wholesalers, and retail chains.
Identify high-value potential customers and convert them into long-term clients.
Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Market Expansion:
Explore and assess new markets, including regional and international business opportunities.
Develop partnerships with new clients and suppliers to expand the company's market presence.
Conduct competitor analysis and market research to stay ahead of industry trends and market demands.
Team Leadership & Training:
Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve business objectives.
Provide training and mentorship to junior sales staff to improve their skills and performance.
Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure alignment between business development and promotional efforts.
Sales Reporting & Performance Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on ways to improve sales strategies and profitability.
Ensure timely delivery of product orders and address any customer-related issues.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, preferably in the FMCG or grocery sector.
Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing business clients.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess market trends and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of the grocery market, including dry fruits, spices, and provisions, is a plus.
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
Education
:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
MBA or equivalent is a plus.
