Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced

On-Field Sales Executive

to drive sales for our solar business, focusing on both

rooftop

,

ground-mounted, floating

solar projects. The ideal candidate will be technically qualified with hands-on field experience in solar sales and must have successfully managed and closed projects of

50 kW and above

. This role requires strong business development skills, technical understanding of solar systems, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities



Business Development & Sales

Identify, generate, and pursue leads for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. Conduct site visits, load assessments, and feasibility studies in coordination with technical teams. Present tailored solar solutions, financial benefits, and ROI models to prospective clients. Prepare and deliver commercial & technical proposals in line with client requirements. Negotiate terms and close deals, ensuring order finalization and timely handover to the execution team.

Client Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals. Act as the first point of contact for customers during pre-sales and post-sales interactions. Provide guidance to clients on government subsidies, DISCOM regulations, and net metering policies.

Order Management

Handle end-to-end sales cycle for projects with a minimum capacity of

50 kW and above

. Coordinate with internal project and execution teams for seamless project delivery. Ensure all documentation, contracts, and approvals are managed accurately.

Market Intelligence

Keep track of competitors, pricing trends, and regulatory developments in the solar sector. Provide feedback to management for continuous improvement of sales strategy.

Qualifications & Skills



Education:

Minimum

B. Tech (Electrical / Mechanical / Energy / Renewable preferred)

.

Experience:

2-4 years of on-field solar sales experience

(Rooftop or Ground-Mounted). Must have

successfully closed orders of at least 50 kW capacity

.

Skills Required:

Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and meet sales targets. Proficiency in MS Office and basic financial calculations (ROI, payback period). Strong local market knowledge and network in the renewable energy domain.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel extensively. Self-driven, target-oriented, and customer-focused. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
