Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven
Sales Executive
with proven experience in the
offline wholesale garment market
. The role focuses on generating sustainable sales through active market visits, wholesaler engagement, and long-term client relationship management. The ideal candidate should possess strong market knowledge, buyer-handling skills, and a clear understanding of garment manufacturing processes and offline wholesale business dynamics.
Eligibility Criteria
This position is strictly focused on
offline wholesale garment sales
. Candidates with experience limited only to online or e-commerce sales channels may not be suitable for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new sales and business opportunities from the offline wholesale garment market.
Conduct regular visits to wholesalers, distributors, and bulk buyers across designated markets.
Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
Understand buyer requirements related to designs, pricing, quantities, delivery timelines, and quality expectations.
Present company collections, samples, and value propositions effectively to buyers.
Coordinate closely with design, production, merchandising, and dispatch teams to ensure accurate order execution.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and order conditions within company guidelines.
Follow up on orders, production status, dispatch schedules, and payment collections.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and buyer preferences, and share insights with management.
Maintain structured records of client visits, enquiries, orders, and follow-ups.
Represent the company professionally during market visits, exhibitions, and buyer meetings.
Required Industry Knowledge
Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, including fabrics, embroidery, printing, sizing, and quality standards.
Familiarity with ethnic wear and fashion garment wholesale business cycles.
Knowledge of order planning, MOQ concepts, sampling, production lead times, and dispatch coordination.
Good understanding of costing, margins, and wholesale pricing structures.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate / Diploma holder (MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred).
Minimum
5 years of experience
in garment sales, preferably in a
manufacturing-based wholesale setup
.
Proven track record in offline wholesale sales generation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong client-handling and relationship management capabilities.
Willingness to travel extensively for market and client visits.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and disciplined in follow-ups and reporting.
