Role Description
This is a full-time Sales Executive role that involves a strategic blend of inside and field-based sales. The Sales Executive will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, engaging with industrial clients, and providing conveyor belt solutions.
Responsibilities include lead generation, product presentations, technical consultations, price negotiation, and contract closure. The role also involves nurturing long-term relationships with customers, conducting market intelligence and competitor analysis, and contributing to the development of sales plans, pricing strategies, and territory expansion initiatives.
Success in this role requires a proactive, technically inclined, and customer-focused individual with strong communication skills and a keen understanding of industrial sales dynamics.
Job Requirements
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets for rubber conveyor belts through effective territory and account management
Identify and develop new business opportunities through field visits, networking, and inbound/outbound sales efforts
Deliver technical product presentations, prepare quotations, and recommend suitable belt specifications based on customer needs
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and close sales deals while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and OEMs
Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, quality) to ensure smooth order execution and delivery
Conduct market research to stay updated on competitor offerings, pricing trends, and emerging customer requirements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in company systems, along with preparing regular sales reports and forecasts
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and presentations
Willing to travel frequently to client locations, industrial sites, and trade events as part of the sales process
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety protocols, and quality procedures during client interactions
Qualifications
3-5 years of proven sales experience in conveyor belts or related industrial products
Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to new markets, and absorb technical knowledge
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a client-focused approach
Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and grow long-term customer relationships
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with sales databases
Skilled in using the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting and presentations
Experience in CRM is a plus
Solid understanding of conveyor belt products, applications, and industry trends is a strong advantage
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree is a significant plus
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
