Job Description

Sales executives should have strong communication and negotiation skills. They should also be confident, organized, and have strong problem-solving skills.

Building relationships:

Sales executives build relationships with customers and prospective buyers to understand their needs. They also maintain relationships with existing customers.

Negotiating:

Sales executives negotiate with buyers and business executives on price, quantities, specifications, and other terms. They balance the needs of the customer with the interests of the company.

Researching:

Sales executives research the market and competition to understand what makes their product or service the best choice for the customer.

Creating proposals:

Sales executives create proposals and make bids for business.

Recording sales:

Sales executives record sales figures and produce reports.

Liaising:

Sales executives liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and other third parties.
