Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of a field sales executive:

Generating Leads

: Actively seek out new sales opportunities through networking, and field visits.

Customer Visits

: Schedule and conduct meetings with potential and existing customers to understand their needs and promote products or services.

Product Demonstration

: Showcase the features and benefits of products or services to potential customers.

Negotiation

: Negotiate pricing, terms of sales, and service agreements to close sales and meet revenue targets.

Relationship Building

: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance, and recommending new products or services.

Market Research

: Stay updated on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

Reporting

: Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

Customer Feedback

: Gather feedback from customers and communicate it to relevant departments to help improve products and services.

Achieving Targets

: Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company.

Travel

: Travel within the assigned territory or region to meet with customers and prospects. This may involve overnight stays depending on the territory's location.

Documentation

: Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.

Training and Development

: Stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques through participation in training programs and workshops.

Problem Solving

: Address customer issues and concerns in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Adaptability

: Be flexible and adaptable to changes in the market and company priorities.

Team Collaboration

: Collaborate with colleagues in other departments such as marketing, customer service, and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities.
