We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Sales Engineer to drive business development for our Instrumentation & Electrical EPC services. The candidate will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and coordinating internally to ensure client needs are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in Instrumentation & Electrical
EPC projects.
Engage with clients, EPCs, and end-users to understand project needs and promote
our EPC capabilities.
Collaborate with the proposal and engineering teams to provide technical inputs and
ensure alignment with client expectations.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and develop new strategic
partnerships.
Monitor industry trends, project announcements, and tender opportunities.
Support pre-bid activities by coordinating with the internal proposal team.
Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities in coordination with
management.
Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets for the region or business segment.
Maintain CRM records, sales reports, and forecasts accurately.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, or equivalent.
4-7 years of experience in technical sales / business development within
engineering consultancy or EPC environments.
Good understanding of Instrumentation, Control Systems, and Electrical Design.
Strong communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
Proven track record of business growth and client acquisition.
Familiar with industrial sectors such as Pharma, Chemical, Process, Speciality
Chemical Industries.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and project discussions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with similar E & I EPC firms
Understanding of tendering and project acquisition processes.
Exposure to Automation / Control Systems or Digitalization Consultancy is an
advantage.
MBA in Marketing or Business Development (optional).
