The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales of alloy steel and carbon steel products (rounds, hexagons, bright bars, etc.), managing customer relationships, and expanding the client base in domestic and export markets. The role demands a mix of technical understanding of steel products, strong market networking, and disciplined follow-up on enquiries, quotations, and orders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and approach potential customers in auto components, engineering, forging, and fabrication industries.
Develop new accounts while nurturing existing ones.
Promote both manufactured and traded products of the mill.
Sales Execution
Generate enquiries, prepare quotations, and negotiate orders.
Coordinate with production and dispatch teams for timely delivery.
Customer Relationship Management
Conduct regular client visits
Handle customer complaints, and payment delays tactfully.
Maintain strong rapport with purchase managers, decision-makers, and influencers.
Market Intelligence
Report customer/market feedback to management for strategy refinement.
Keep an eye on industry trends
Collections & Credit Control
Follow up on outstanding payments.
Ensure adherence to agreed credit terms.
Escalate problem accounts early for management action.
Reporting
Submit weekly/monthly sales reports with enquiry status, order pipeline, and collection details.
Maintain data in CRM accurately.
Marketing
Manage marketing communications for leads
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to work with CRM tools
Familiarity with steel consuming industries
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Willingness to travel
B2B Marketing and/or sales experience
Good command over English
Essential:
