Job Description

The Salesman will be responsible for handling route sales for assigned areas, meeting existing customers, developing new clients, ensuring proper product availability, achieving sales targets, and timely credit realisation for FMCG products.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle route sales and cover the assigned beat/territory regularly.

Visit existing customers such as retailers, wholesalers, and distributors to take orders and promote products.

Canvass new customers and expand the customer base in the assigned area.

Ensure proper product visibility, availability, and merchandising at retail outlets.

Achieve assigned sales targets and collection targets.

Handle credit realisation and timely collection of outstanding payments.

Maintain good relationships with customers and address their queries or complaints promptly.

Provide market feedback on competitor activity, pricing, schemes, and consumer demand.

Ensure proper order booking, billing coordination, and delivery follow-up.

Maintain accurate daily sales, collection, and route reports.

Follow company policies, discipline, and reporting procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Any Degree

Experience in FMCG sales (route sales experience is an advantage).

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Familiarity with the local market and routes.

Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
