The Sales Executive is responsible for attending to walk-in customers, showcasing jewellery and saree collections, closing sales at the counter, and ensuring an excellent in-store experience. The role involves product demonstration, understanding customer needs, and offering suitable recommendations, particularly in the bridal and festive segments.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Handling:
Greet customers at the counter and understand their purchase requirements.
Show jewellery or sarees based on customer preferences, occasion, and budget.
Educate customers about product details like material, purity, certification (jewellery), fabric type, and care (sarees).
Assist with product trials (e.g., draping sarees, trying jewellery).
Provide personalized service, especially for bridal, festive, and gift purchases.
Sales Execution:
Achieve personal and counter-wise sales targets.
Upsell and cross-sell related products (e.g., jewellery sets, blouse fabric, matching accessories).
Work closely with the billing and packaging teams to ensure smooth checkout.
Maintain a clean, well-organized, and attractive display at the counter.
Product Care & Merchandising:
Ensure all displayed jewellery and sarees are tagged, clean, and arranged neatly.
Handle products carefully and assist in daily counter-wise stock checks.
Provide customer feedback to supervisors to improve product offering and service.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 10+2 (Higher Secondary); graduate preferred.
1-3 years of experience in retail counter sales, preferably in jewellery, sarees, ethnic wear, or luxury products.
Freshers with strong communication and interest in fashion/jewellery may apply.
Key Skills:
Excellent verbal communication in English and local language
Strong sales and persuasion skills
Basic knowledge of jewellery (gold purity, diamond cuts) and sarees (fabric types, draping styles)
Good personal grooming and presentation
Ability to handle high-value products with honesty and care

Passionate about traditional fashion and cultural products
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons (festivals/weddings)
