Job Summary:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities within the K-12 school market. This role requires a strong understanding of the education landscape, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology and its impact on education. You will manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and ongoing relationship management.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Actively identify and generate new sales leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, online research, and attending industry events.
Needs Analysis:
Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the specific challenges and requirements of potential clients (schools).
Product Demonstrations:
Deliver compelling and informative product demonstrations, showcasing the value and benefits of our school software solutions. Tailor demonstrations to address specific school needs.
Proposal Development:
Present customized proposals and quotes, outlining pricing, features, and implementation plans.
Closing Deals:
Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new clients.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at schools, including principals, administrators, and IT staff.
Sales Pipeline Management:
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking progress and forecasting sales revenue.
Market Research:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the education sector.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure client 1 satisfaction.
Reporting:
Regularly report on sales activities, progress, and results to the sales manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field preferred.
Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the education technology or software industry. Experience selling to schools is a significant advantage.
Strong understanding of the K-12 education market and the challenges faced by schools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel occasionally (if required).
