The Sales Executive will be responsible for expanding, managing, and strengthening the dealer network for the company's electrical product range. The role focuses on driving secondary sales, increasing retail penetration, ensuring product visibility, and building strong engagement with dealers and retailers in the assigned territory.
Identify potential electrical dealers, retail counters, and influencers in the assigned territory.
Onboard and activate new dealers to improve market penetration.
Conduct dealer profiling and ensure route coverage across all key markets.
2. Secondary Sales Growth
Achieve monthly and quarterly
secondary sales targets
through strong dealer engagement.
Monitor stock movement at the dealer level to ensure consistent product availability.
Ensure dealers achieve defined sell-out objectives for each product category.
3. Dealer Relationship & Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, electrical stores, and trade partners.
Resolve dealer concerns related to product, pricing, schemes, delivery, or service.
Conduct regular shop visits, sales pitches, and product demonstrations.
4. Retail Penetration & Visibility
Increase brand presence at retail counters through displays, POP materials, and merchandising.
Execute trade marketing activities, dealer schemes, and promotional plans.
Ensure correct price communication, branding guidelines, and product placement.
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting
Track competitor products, pricing strategies, schemes, and retail influence.
Submit daily/weekly sales reports, beat plans, and retailer feedback.
Provide inputs on local market trends, seasonality, and potential opportunities.
Skills & Competencies Required
Strong knowledge of dealer-based sales model in electrical industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and retail relationship-building skills.
Good understanding of counter sales, secondary sales drivers, and trade schemes.
Strong execution capability with ability to run market beat plans effectively.
Proficient in Excel, reporting, and mobile CRM tools (if applicable).
Ability to travel extensively in assigned territory.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in any discipline (preferred: BBA, B.Com, or Diploma/BE Electrical).
1-4 years of experience in dealer sales within electrical, hardware, lighting, home appliances/electronics.
Experience in managing retail counters, influencers, and dealer channel is required.
