The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating business for diesel generator sets. The role requires strong knowledge of DG sets, excellent client relationship skills, and the ability to achieve sales targets in a competitive market. The candidate must have hands-on experience in B2B/Industrial sales within the power or capital equipment industry.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities for DG sets and power solutions.
Generate leads, follow up with prospective clients, and convert opportunities into sales.
Conduct site visits, load assessments, and understand customer requirements to recommend suitable DG solutions.
Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals within approved margins.
Maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, EPC companies, and end-users.
Coordinate with internal teams (Service, Projects, Finance, Logistics) for smooth order execution.
Track market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing to stay competitive.
Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to credit norms.
Maintain accurate sales reports, pipeline updates, and customer documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Diesel Generator sets, engines, alternators, and power backup systems.
Proven track record in B2B sales of DG sets, electrical equipment, or similar capital goods.
Good understanding of load calculations, DG sizing, and technical specifications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Qualification
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred.
MBA in Marketing (optional but advantageous).
