The Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling the company's agricultural products (such as fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, or farm equipment) to farmers, dealers, and distributors. The role involves achieving sales targets, expanding market reach, and maintaining strong customer relationships through field visits, demonstrations, and regular follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development
Promote and sell agricultural products within the assigned territory.
Identify and onboard new dealers, distributors, and retailers.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Conduct field visits to meet farmers and understand their needs and challenges.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and channel partners.
Marketing & Promotion
Conduct farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and promotional campaigns.
Participate in agricultural fairs, exhibitions, and local marketing events.
Provide feedback from farmers and dealers to marketing and product teams.
Implement brand visibility initiatives in rural and semi-urban areas.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Gather and report competitor information, market trends, and customer feedback.
Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and visit reports.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly sales performance reports to the manager.
Customer Support
Provide basic product training and technical guidance to farmers and retailers.
Handle after-sales service queries and ensure customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams for product availability and timely delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Horticulture, or related field.
Experience:
1-5 years of field sales experience in the
agriculture input industry
(fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, farm machinery, etc.).
Good understanding of local agricultural practices, cropping patterns, and seasonal requirements.
Proficiency in local language(s) and basic computer knowledge (MS Office, CRM).
Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred.
