Key responsibilities

Customer Assistance:

Greet customers, assess their visual needs, and help them choose suitable frames, lenses, and contact lenses.

Sales and Transactions:

Process sales, handle payments, manage customer records, and explain product features and benefits.

Product Knowledge:

Stay up-to-date on new optical products, styles, and industry trends.

Eyewear Fitting and Adjustments:

Perform basic fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs on eyeglasses to ensure a proper fit.

Store Maintenance:

Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and visually appealing through merchandising and inventory management.

Collaboration:

Work with other staff, such as optometrists, to provide a seamless customer experience.

Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Qualifications and skills

Education:

A high school diploma is typically required, with a degree or certification in optometry or a related field being a plus.

Experience:

Previous experience in retail sales, especially in the optical industry, is often preferred.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong sales and customer service abilities Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems
