Job Description

The company is in the business of constructing and commissioning industrial shades and infrastructure having presence across India is looking for following personnel to be based in Pune.

Overview



The Sales Engineer plays a key role in driving business growth by combining technical expertise with customer-facing sales capabilities. This role focuses on promoting, specifying, and supporting the commissioning of industrial shading solutions for warehouses, factories, logistics centers, and other large-scale facilities.

Key Responsibilities



1. Sales & Business Development



Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within industrial, commercial, and construction sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, facility managers, integrators, and end users. Deliver persuasive technical presentations and product demonstrations. Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions aligned with project requirements. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.

2. Technical Consultation



Assess client needs and site conditions to recommend appropriate shading systems, automation options, and installation configurations. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate system design and commissioning planning.

3. Project Coordination



Support project handover from sales to commissioning/installation teams. Clarify technical requirements, timelines, and customer expectations. Participate in site meetings as needed to ensure smooth project execution.

4. Product Expertise



Maintain a deep understanding of industrial shading technologies, including materials, motorization, controls, and automation platforms. Stay updated on industry standards, competitive products, and market trends.

5. Customer Support



Provide pre- and post-sales technical guidance. Address customer inquiries regarding system capabilities, installation constraints, and commissioning processes. Coordinate with service teams to resolve issues when required.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, Civil) or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in building systems, automation, facade solutions, or industrial equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Familiarity with commissioning processes and construction workflows is an advantage. Proficiency with CRM tools and basic engineering software.

Working Conditions



Hybrid of office, site visits, and customer meetings. Occasional travel for project coordination, trade events, or customer support.
