Job Summary
The Sales Engineer will drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and providing technical support to clients in the chemical industry. The role requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Generate and follow up on inquiries, leads, and RFQs.
Conduct market research on customer needs and industry trends.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
Conduct customer visits, meetings, and presentations.
Provide solutions based on customer requirements.
Coordinate customer issue resolution with internal teams.
3. Technical Support
Provide product knowledge and application guidance.
Prepare technical proposals and recommendations.
4. Sales Operations
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
Coordinate with logistics, accounts, and operations for order fulfillment.
Maintain sales pipeline and daily reporting.
Participate in exhibitions and industry events.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales reports.
Maintain customer data and meeting logs.
Submit daily/weekly/monthly performance updates.

New client queries generated
Sales volume (MT) and revenue achieved
Number of client visits/meetings
New clients onboarded
Lead conversion ratio

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
2-5 years of relevant sales experience (preferred)
Strong knowledge of chemicals and industrial applications
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Self-driven and target-oriented
Proficiency in MS Office; CRM knowledge is a plus
