The Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting, demonstrating, and selling garment stitching machines, automation equipment, and related accessories to apparel manufacturers. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales skills, and market understanding to meet and exceed business targets with at least 3-5 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the
garment manufacturing and automation sectors
.
Generate leads through field visits, cold calls, trade shows, and online inquiries.
Demonstrate and explain the technical features, advantages, and benefits of garment stitching machinery and automation solutions.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate machines, attachments, or solutions.
Coordinate with the
technical/service team
for machine installation, trials, and after-sales support.
Prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and close sales orders in line with company policies.
Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on competitor activities, industry trends, and new technologies in sewing and garment automation.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of
garment manufacturing processes

Excellent
communication, negotiation, and presentation
skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, customer-friendly language.
Self-motivated and target-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Proficiency in

Willingness to travel extensively for client visits and exhibitions.
