Work with the Regional Sales Manager to understand the revenue target for the region.
Develop a detailed plan to identify the potential sources of revenue.
B. Revenue Management
Ensure that revenue targets from A type customers, Exports and Solutions are met for the set period (Monthly/Quarterly).
Responsible for generating revenue from assigned export locations.
Create proposals for customers in a timely manner.
Participate in price negotiations.
C. Customer Relationship Management
Maintaining Existing Relationships
Responsible for regularly meeting A type customer and farming the relationship.
Develop existing high-potential customers into A and Key customers respectively.
When PLC-based applications are identified share the same with the
PLC sales Application Engineer.
Developing new relationships
Responsible for developing new A type/Key customers by cross selling, and upselling products to high-potential customers in the region.
Needs to work closely with consultants to get products approved.
D. Solutions business
Work with the BD team to understand potential market segments company can go after.
Understand customer needs and requirements and share them with the
Design Team to enable them to create solutions.
Ensure that customer needs are implemented by the design team.
Delivery and testing of the final product at the customer location
E. Forecasting
Ensure orders are taken well in advance to enable efficient planning and timely delivery.
F. Competitive Intelligence
Keep-up with industry and market trends and best practices.
Collect feedback from the market and share with design team.
G. Marketing
Responsible for new product promotion and launch to customers in the assigned locations to increase awareness about the brand and products.
H. Collections
Responsible for collection of payments, from customers who are buying directly from the company for the region assigned, with adherence to credit and payment norms.
I. Managing team
Onboarding new ground sales engineers and training them.
Reviewing the ground sales engineers on a regular basis.
Guiding and mentoring the ground sales team to achieve their numbers
J. Monitoring Performance & Reporting Business Metrics
Participate in regional reviews with the on-ground sales teams to ensure that
sales targets are met.
Analyze captured data and create dashboards /MIS to report performance on
a regular basis to the Regional Manager.
Ensure corrective actions are taken on risks and deviations identified during
all the reviews.
