Job Description

1. Role Summary



The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying business opportunities, acquiring new customers, managing existing accounts, and achieving monthly/annual sales targets. The role involves promoting electronic and mechanical products, understanding customer technical requirements, coordinating with design/production teams, and ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Sales & Business Development



Identify prospective customers in industrial, OEM, engineering, and manufacturing segments. Generate new leads through field visits, referrals, exhibitions, and industry databases. Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical discussions. Understand customer needs and recommend suitable electronic/mechanical products. Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and commercial offers. Follow up on negotiations to close deals.

B. Customer Relationship Management



Build long-term relationships with existing and new clients. Maintain regular communication for repeat business and upselling. Schedule and conduct client meetings, periodic reviews, and after-sales follow-ups. Manage customer complaints and coordinate resolutions with the service/technical team.

C. Coordination with Internal Teams



Work closely with production, engineering, R&D, and quality teams to understand product specifications. Provide customer insights for product customization or new product development. Coordinate with dispatch, logistics, and accounts for order fulfillment and payments.

D. Market Intelligence & Reporting



Track competitor activities, pricing, and market developments. Submit weekly sales reports, visit reports, and monthly sales forecasts. Analyze sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

4. Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Competencies



Understanding of electronic components/systems (PCB, wiring harness, control panels, sensors, automation products, etc.) Knowledge of mechanical products (assemblies, sheet metal, machined components, industrial equipment). Ability to explain basic technical specifications to customers. Reading engineering drawings (added advantage).

5. Required Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics)

Diploma holders with sales experience can also apply 1-5 years of experience in B2B industrial sales (manufacturing sector) Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting

6. Working Conditions



Field-intensive role with regular customer visits Travel as per business needs (local/outstation) Weekly/monthly review meetings with sales manager Coordination with internal departments at factory/office

7. Authority & Decision Rights



Authority to negotiate within company-approved price range Recommend discounts or special pricing to Sales Manager Decide customer visit schedules and lead prioritization Escalate technical or delivery issues to relevant departments
