Role: Sales Director

The platform aggregates Brands and Kirana stores, helping businesses to reach traditionally unserved stores, get permanent shelf space and then mind space of consumers. Position Summary

As the company embarks on a hyper growth journey, it is seeking to expand in rural reach in the Region. The Sales Director, FMCG Sales role is a strategic business head role being a part of the key leadership team responsible for building the sales and distribution business in a geographical region.


Responsible for complete P&L of the business vertical of the region, enabling it to grow multi-fold in the semi urban and rural areas. Responsible for agreed revenue growth levels for each product and category mix.


Overseeing strong workforce development, employee satisfaction and engagement, maximizing growth potential of employees and strong succession planning.


The person will have hands-on experience in managing multi brand sales, enabling functions, operation, partner performance management, brand relationships to drive business excellence. The individual will work closely with the Founders, business leaders in building and implementing a strategic growth vision for the company to become a Provider of Choice. When shopkeepers think of buying in any vicinity of semi urban and rural areas, they should think ElasticRun.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end of the business goal, functional KPI’s including set-up to operations and sales, with overall P&L responsibility in the geographical regions.
  • Responsible to get big, fast, and stay fit (profitable).
  • Deploy strategic efforts to improve customer experience metrics. Address the pain-points to retain the customer and churn, maximize an existing customer's share of wallet, etc.
  • Build a network of partners to fulfill and supply FMCG goods and commodities to retail stores. Create and monitor the process to equip and train them to exceed the SLA, manage volume, quality, cost efficiently.
  • Work closely with central sale, tele-sales team to drive the revenue generation opportunity.
  • Build excellent connect with existing and new Brands across.
  • Responsible for the overall stewardship and internal controls within the regions for all process standards.
  • Build, Lead and manage the Sales and operations team. Define SMART goals and operating KPI’s in line with organizational/regional objective.
  • Conduct periodic business review or balanced scorecard into action to achieve top line and bottom-line targets.
  • Develop the culture of Respect & Result, build core competencies and drive performance. Hire the Best. Take ownership to mentor, coach team on their career growth plan.
  • Regulatory compliance, drive safety first culture, implement 5S as key step in establishing a Lean warehouses and greatest operation standards.


CANDIDATE PROFILE


Ideal Experience
16+ years of large-scale business operations in realizing business strategy. A seasoned sales leader with hands-on experience of managing revenue & profitability performance at regional level.

Scale up/ Transformation experience.

Experience of working in a past-faced, high growth environment in the region is desired. Exposure to field sales, key account management acquisition and maintenance, business development, warehousing and distribution, ground operations, extensive multi-geography professional experience in India will be an added plus.

Business partnering

Must have demonstrated abilities and a proven track record of working closely with the business/ CEO in driving growth, accelerating market penetration through strategic supply management and operational efficiency.

Industry relevance

Must have experience of working in consumer facing, warehousing and distribution led FMCG, telecom, tech-savvy supermarkets, e-commerce, or consumer-focused industries /or allied sectors.

Qualification pedigree

MBA/Postgraduate from reputed B-School, preferably Operations, Sales & Marketing.
