Position Overview:


The

Sales Designer

will play a key role in managing

client communication, design coordination, and sales execution

. This individual will serve as the bridge between Tulsi Studio's design team and its clients -- ensuring that creative ideas translate seamlessly into deliverable textile solutions that align with client expectations, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Client Coordination & Relationship Management



Act as the primary point of contact for all client communications -- from inquiry to delivery. Understand client requirements in detail (fabric type, color palette, technique, quantity, budget). Translate client briefs into actionable tasks for the design and production teams. Share mood boards, swatches, and design proposals based on client needs and Tulsi Studio's aesthetic. Provide regular project updates to clients, ensuring clear communication and timely feedback loops. Build and maintain long-term relationships with domestic and international clients (designers, boutiques, export houses, interior firms, and wholesalers).

2. Sales & Business Development



Develop and implement sales strategies to expand Tulsi Studio's presence in the luxury textile market. Identify new business opportunities, potential markets, and client segments. Present collections, new developments, and trend-based textiles to buyers and design teams. Negotiate terms, finalize orders, and ensure smooth coordination from sampling to bulk production. Work closely with management to achieve monthly and annual sales targets. Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, and client presentations to showcase collections and network with potential buyers.

3. Design Collaboration & Coordination



Work hand-in-hand with the design and production teams to ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and design integrity. Provide creative inputs to align client needs with Tulsi Studio's design philosophy. Ensure sampling and bulk production are executed as per approved design, color, and quality specifications. Coordinate with the sampling unit to ensure timely dispatch of swatches and production orders.

4. Market Analysis & Reporting



Research ongoing market and textile trends to identify potential growth areas. Maintain updated records of client orders, pricing, and product feedback. Prepare periodic sales reports and performance analyses for management review.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in

Textile Design, Fashion Design, or Marketing

(Master's degree preferred). Minimum

5 years of experience

in textile/fabric sales, preferably in a design-led or luxury textile studio. Deep understanding of textiles, embroidery techniques, fabric construction, and color theory. Proven experience in

client coordination

,

order management

, and

sales execution

. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple client projects simultaneously. Proficiency in MS Office; working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus. A keen eye for design details and appreciation for craftsmanship.
