About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled

Sales & Cost Estimation Engineer

who can bridge the gap between customer requirements and practical engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will handle client interactions, prepare technical and commercial proposals, read and interpret engineering drawings, and perform accurate cost estimations with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

Engage with clients to understand technical and commercial requirements. Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and technical specifications. Coordinate with internal design, procurement, and production teams for feasibility and pricing. Follow up with clients for offer status, negotiations, and order closures. Support business targets through lead conversion and revenue growth.

Cost Estimation & Quotation

Estimate material, labour, and overhead costs based on drawings, specifications, and client inputs. Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost sheets with accuracy and transparency. Compare vendor quotations and optimize pricing for competitive advantage. Maintain a database of costing elements and update prices periodically.

Technical Understanding

Read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings (2D & 3D). Perform

unit conversions

(e.g., mm to inch, bar to psi, CFM to LPM, etc.) as required for international clients. Prepare technical submittals, compliance sheets, and specification summaries. Support design verification and prepare datasheets or sizing sheets when needed.

Coordination & Documentation

Collaborate with internal departments for timely proposal submission. Maintain proper documentation of enquiries, quotations, and correspondence. Track and report enquiry-to-order conversion ratio and profitability margins. Update CRM and sales trackers regularly.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of

technical sales and estimation

in HVAC, piping, or industrial systems. Proficiency in

MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP tools

. Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and conversions. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
