The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the sales team by managing tender submissions, preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring smooth communication with customers. The ideal candidate must have deep knowledge of steel products, industry standards, and tender documentation procedures.
Identify tender opportunities through online portals, client communication, and market sources.
Study tender documents thoroughly and prepare eligibility checklists.
Coordinate with Sales, Technical, QC, and Accounts teams for required documents, pricing inputs, and approvals.
Prepare and submit complete tender documents including technical bid, commercial bid, BOQ, compliance statements, and supporting certificates.
Maintain a record of submitted tenders and track status until finalization.
Handle re-submission, corrigendum updates, and clarification responses.
2. Sales Coordination & Support:
Assist Sales Managers with order processing, follow-ups, and client communication.
Prepare quotations, offers, and sales proposals as per customer requirements.
Coordinate order execution by aligning with production, dispatch, and logistics teams.
Maintain and update customer databases, sales trackers, and MIS reports.
3. Industry-Specific Knowledge:
Strong understanding of steel grades, material specifications, standards (IS/ASTM/EN), weight calculations, and sizes.
Ability to interpret BOQs, technical drawings, material requirements, and tender specifications.
Awareness of market pricing trends, competitor information, and customer requirements.
Understanding of mill test certificates (MTC), QA/QC documents, and compliance requirements.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain organized digital and physical documentation for tenders, offers, customer communication, and orders.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
Generate tender MIS: submitted, won, lost, pending, and under evaluation.

Excellent proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; knowledge of ERP/CRM preferred.
Strong communication and drafting skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple submissions simultaneously.
